"Believing in culture, unique experiences, and the power of media, I see marketing as an instrument of growth.”
My name is Nimiye Ogoun.
I’m a Social Media Analyst and Coordinator who’s trying to learn something new every day. I have a rich knowledge of Communications, Marketing Strategy & Analysis, Writing, and Planning.
My goal is to bridge the gap between media and tech by creating a compelling customer experience for both online and offline spaces.
Planning and successfully pulling off the One Night Only music festival has been my proudest achievement so far; an annual experiential event where people from all communities gather over live music, and good food to have a great time. This is something I wouldn’t have been able to achieve had it not been for my experience as a leader of the Black Student Union (BSU), a group that taught me the importance of community building, and getting voices heard.
To me, life experiences are chances to learn and explore, to improve interpersonal communication, and be more empathetic towards people. These are the basics upon which I build my work; I work in marketing to deliver the voices that matter to the people who will listen.
I am a first-generation Nigerian American who loves all things pop culture, music, and traveling. Taking risks and acquiring knowledge are two values that guide me.
